Gene Miller, Naturalist Guide
I live in Southeast Alaska (US Forest Service – retired January, 2018); started in Wrangell, AK, (June 25, 1969), with duties in Ketchikan, Petersburg and Juneau. I hold degrees in Forestry from University of Minnesota, Masters of Public Administration from the University of Alaska Southeast and am a Vietnam era Army veteran. I appreciate to working with people and customer service. I love to hike, and lead the Parks and Recreation’s Wednesday and Saturday hikes locally here in Juneau. I am an avid bike rider and love taking advantage of Juneau’s incredible camping opportunities. When it comes to local living, I prefer to buy salmon off the dock rather than going fishing (the catch rate is better).
