Diane Kyser, Naturalist and Captain

I arrived in Juneau with my nine-year-old son for a “wilderness” adventure on the water. During our week long kayaking trip that started at the ‘end of the road,’ I fell in love with the beauty of Alaska and its diversity of glaciers, mountains which feed the ocean I love. I spent the next few years exploring bays and inlets Southeast Alaska by sailboat, harvesting abundant wild foods and feeding my senses with the vastness of nature that Alaska has to offer. I have lived in Alaska twenty-seven years exploring its wilderness beauty and foraging wild food. I feel fortunate to be working for Gastineau Guiding a captain sharing my love of Alaskan wilderness with our guests! I look forward to seeing you on the water with us!
